2 Officers Help Remove $5K Worth Of Drugs Off Milford Streets

The two police officers received recognition for their work at a recent police commission meeting.

MILFORD, CT — A Milford police officer, Derek Waller, received a certificate of commendation from the Board of Police Commissioners for his work in helping to take $5,000 worth of drugs off the streets.

Additionally, William Barbour, also received a letter of recognition for his work on the same case.

Deputy Chief Brian Rojee said Waller was doing a late night patrol in the area of Subway near Bic Drive when he noticed a vehicle parked behind the Credit Union. Waller and Barbour then approached the vehicle noting a driver and another occupant and upon investigation it was determined the driver was making a drug delivery to the occupant, Rojee told commissioners.

Officers subsequently found $5,000 street value worth of drugs and firearm, police said.
