3-Day Standoff With Possibly Armed Suspect Ends: Milford Police

Police announced an end to the incident, which has been ongoing since Wednesday morning.

MILFORD, CT — After three days, Milford police said they have taken into custody a person with possible mental health issues, who was observed with what looked like a long gun on Wednesday.

At 3 p.m. Friday, police said the "barricaded subject" was safely taken into custody. The surrounding area has been reopened, police announced.

"Thank you to everyone for their patience and for avoiding the area so we can safely conduct our investigation. More information to follow," police said.
