Affordable Housing Application Approved in Milford: Report
Some residents expressed flooding concerns due to the project.

MILFORD, CT — A developer has received approval for a 15-unit apartment complex at 355 Meadowside Road, which was of course filed under the state's affordable housing statute, and allows developers to override local zoning laws.
The Milford Mirror reports that Warren and Christopher Field own the 1-acre parcel and they received approval last week for their modified application. The Planning and Zoning Board made some tweaks to the application and some residents expressed concerns about the project and potential flooding concerns.

But city officials noted that because it's an affordable housing application there wasn't much they can do.
A total of five three-story buildings are planned and there is a garage for each unit and an additional 32 surface parking spaces, the Milford Mirror reports.
