Meet the Artists and Artisans has again captured the national award for the 100 Best Fine Art Shows in the U.S. with its 49th Mothers Day weekend show on the Milford Green, this is the only CT juried show chosen for Sept 2011. Selected for its calibre of exhibitors, and high criteria of original only work, as one of the nations oldest and most respected Art Shows. It has been directed and founded by Denise morris Curt (the Connecticut Limner) of Milford, to introduce new exhibitors chosen for their unique, fanciful, and functional expressions that reflect the creative genius of each individual, showcasing exceptional talent.
Meet authors and illustrators of beautiful children’s books, watch the weaver at her loom as scarves and clothing appear, hear the Celtic harp sing its gentle notes near the bandstand as “FIRE WITCH’ stoneware creator Nancy Johnson Mercado composes and weaves her music and wool.

Ronet Noe layers her canvas with relief forms projecting memorable Milford beach scenes to warm winter temperatures. Tammi Eller carves intricate fairy tale villages clambering up mountains and cliffs, with minute fish scale rooftops of cotton wood bark. Mary Neschke renowned “Milford Living” photographer joins Tim Mannle, and John Supan presenting local landmarks, famous coastal refuges and scenic views of Milford.
Orange’s Pamela Hirth chooses silk velvet and lavish chenilles for women’s apparel. Rebecca Osborn designs ceramic trees with majestic branches silhouetted against colorful or serene backgrounds as sculptural wall hangings. The Taylor’s, Carol-etchings and collage, Carlton-black and white digital photos with a spot of color; Maribeth and Bill Blonski-4 beautifully illustrated children’s books featuring original oils and watercolors.

Kevin Travers a master wood recycler incorporates antique panels for his 5 board chests, tables, & benches, his toys and robots of old metal and barnwood findings are hilarious. Greg Stones returns with his miniature watercolors of absurdist characters, and books of penguin criminals and heroes.
