Platt Tech Students Best in the Country at National Competition

PLATT TECH Students Best in the Country at National Skills USA Conference

Two Platt Tech students recently won first and second place in the national SkillsUSA competition in Kansas City, Missouri, while others from Platt Tech also finished in the top 2% of the nation. This is the first time in the school’s history that students have done this well at the national
level. A reception will be held October 16, 9:30am at Platt Tech High School, honoring the winners; also in attendance will be Armand Cantafio of Northeast Electronics, and Victor Crudo of ASML, longtime supporters of Platt Tech.

With SkillsUSA, pupils compete at the local, state and national levels in a variety of events that focus on such areas as trade-related activities, and leadership skills. This year, 1100 students competed in Connecticut and joined 5,600 other state winners to compete at the
national level.
