Platt Tech Students lend a hand at Manufacturing Mania!

Governor Malloy declares the month of October CT Dream It Do It Manufacturing Month! Platt Tech High School Manufacturing Technology students were guides for 8th graders that attended Manufacturing Mania in Hartford CT.  Platt students volunteered to help at the Hartford State Armory and described all facets of manufacturing. Connecticut manufacturing makes up 92% of the states exports and employs 165,000 people, 10% of the state’s total workforce.

Located in Milford, CT, Platt Technical High School is one of seventeen regional vocational high schools in the Connecticut Technical High School System. Platt Tech’s mission is to provide nothing less than the finest technical and academic education possible for all students. The 900 students who attend Platt come from various communities in both New Haven and Fairfield counties and have the opportunity to learn and master a trade during their time at Platt.
