Another Affordable Housing Project Proposed in Milford: Report
Typically, residents protest affordable housing projects at public hearings, but this application is different thus far.

MILFORD, CT — Another affordable housing application is pending before the Planning and Zoning Board but at a recent public hearing no one spoke in opposition of the plans, the Milford Mirror reports.
The Mirror notes that often affordable housing projects are greeted with massive opposition but not this one.
Here are the vital stats behind this latest proposal. It calls for a nine-unit apartment complex at 132-140 Monroe St. It would be built in three, three-story, 35-foot tall buildings on vacant land.

The proposal is near where other multi-family projects are already built. Each apartment would contain up to 1,500-square-feet and two bedrooms, the Mirror reports. Most rents would be just below $1,400 a month.
