Driver Arrested After Man Dies Falling From Car Roof: Milford PD

MILFORD, CT — Police arrested a Stratford woman after a man died after he fell from her car roof in August, according to police.

Cody Henry, 25, of Florida was riding on top of Karissa Denigris’s car roof Aug. 31 when he fell into the roadway, police said. The incident happened on Old Gate Lane near the I-95 exit 40 off ramp.

Another passenger got out of the car and dragged Henry to the sidewalk. Henry was unresponsive and was bleeding heavily from the back of his head and nose, according to police.

The other passenger put Henry in the car, and they drove toward a nearby hospital and called 911. A dispatcher told them to pull over and wait for emergency responders.

A Milford police officer arrived and started CPR on Henry. Milford firefighters transported Henry to Yale-New Haven Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Denigris, 20, was arrested on an active warrant Feb. 17 and charged with misconduct with a motor vehicle. Bail was set at $10,000.
