Obituary: Barbara Stach, 72

Barbara Stach, age 72, beloved wife of David Stach for 49 years, died unexpectedly on Thursday, March 20th , 2025. Barbara was born in Derby on January 8, 1953 to the late Joseph and Olga Lobas Kort. Barbara was the Human Resource Manager at Spectrum Associates and worked there for 47 years.
Barbara graduated from Southern Connecticut University with a Bachelors in Elementary Education and she graduated from University of Bridgeport with a Masters in Modular Scheduling. Barbara enjoyed caring for her beautiful and fragrant flower garden, enjoying a good book, and spending time with her family. She was a hard worker that brought her keen eye for detail to everything she did. She was known for her sophisticated style and grace. She left her creative touch on each holiday from elegant décor and decadent desserts. She spent happy moments watching the birds out her kitchen bay window enjoying the view of her feeders and houses. She will always be lovingly remembered as someone you could rely on to do anything asked of her and someone who deeply loved her family.
In addition to her devoted husband, Barbara is survived by her four loving daughters: Julianne Stach of Milford, Ashley MacPherson and her husband Ross of MA, Karissa Shields and her husband Tristan of Meriden and Kristin Stach of Milford, grandchildren, Austin and Ian MacPherson and Genevieve and Aubrey Shields, siblings, Rosemary Jendras of FL, David Kort of Trumbull and Thomas Kort of Seymour and brother-in-law, Alan Stach of Bridgeport and nieces and nephews. Barbara is predeceased by her brother-in-law, Ronald Stach.

Family and Friends may call on Thursday, March 27, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the GREGORY F. DOYLE FUNERAL HOME 291 BRIDGEPORT AVENUE, MILFORD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 28, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. (DIRECTLY) at Saint Joseph’s Church, 32 Jewett Street, Ansonia.
