Boys & Girls Club of Milford, CT Annual Walnut Beach Ice Cream 5K Run/Walk Raised Over $20,000
All Proceeds to Benefit the Boys & Girls Club Programs and Initiatives

Milford, CT—September 13, 2016—The Milford Boys & Girls Club Annual Walnut Beach Ice Cream USATF 5K Certified Run/Walk took place Sunday, August 7 at the Walnut Beach Pavilion and raised over $20,000 for Club programs and initiatives. This event has become a staple in the Milford, CT community for over 10 years. Since its inception, 400+ runners participate yearly to compete for the coveted Ice Cream Bowl Trophy. This year’s top finishers include:
· Top Male: Mike Padilla, of Phoenixville, PA finished with a time of 16:21

“The Boys & Girls Club members, volunteers and staff appreciate the huge outpour of support from the community,” said Megan Altomare, Executive Director, Boys & Girls Club of Milford. “The Club is sincerely grateful for all efforts put forth by the community and Club advocates.
