Boys and Girls Village Terminated Employee Charged With Assault
The Milford-based agency provides care for emotionally and physically abused youths.

Last week Milford police said Aaron Virgo, 37, of Auburn Street in New Haven was charged on a warrant for allegedly assaulting a juvenile under his care while he was employed at Boys & Girls Village of Milford.
Dr. Steven M. Kant, President/CEO of Boys & Girls Village said in a statement Tuesday that “Boys & Girls Village remains committed to the utmost safety of the children under our care. We took immediate action upon learning of the allegations against the employee by reporting him to the Connecticut Department of Children and Families (DCF).
We also suspended the employee and opened our own internal investigation which ultimately resulted in his employment being terminated. We continue to cooperate fully with the investigations being conducted by both DCF and the Milford Police.
