Bret Michaels Brings Record Crowd to Milford Oyster Festival
More than 50,000 people attended Saturday's 40th annual Oyster Festival.

Bret Michaels brought his rock star act to Milford’s Oyster Festival and the crowd of more than 50,000 onlookers was more than impressed, according to the New Haven Register’s Pamela McLoughlin.
Michaels, the frontman for the popular 80s hairband, Poison, and a reality television star entertained everyone from young to old. He was by far the biggest name to ever perform at the Oyster Festival, which just celebrated its 40th year.
Danielle Cornelius, 28, of New Haven, sported a cowboy-style hat with Michaels’ name on it.

“He’s hot,” an excited Cornelius told McLoughlin. Asked about the age gap, she said, “It doesn’t matter — he rocks.”
There was a lot more to do and see at the Oyster Festival beyond the music.
