Business Opens In Former Subway HQ In Milford

A showroom and warehouse is taking over the fast-food giant's former site in Milford.

MILFORD, CT — The former home of Subway Corporation is now J & K Cabinetry, "a premier provider of high-quality kitchen and bath cabinets, serving homeowners, contractors, and builders throughout the region," according to a statement from the Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce.

"Their new Milford warehouse and showroom represent a significant expansion and investment in the local business community," according to the statement.

J & K moved into the 325 Sub Way site with a ribbon-cutting ceremony July 1.

"With a focus on custom craftsmanship, quality control, and fast delivery, J & K stands out in the cabinetry industry. Their large inventory and efficient production capabilities allow them to deliver beautiful, functional kitchen and bath solutions with quicker turnaround times than most competitors."

Subway has moved its headquarters to Shelton after the company was sold to Roark Capital, which owns Arby’s, Dunkin’ and Buffalo Wild Wings. There were other proposals for the site, including a knife manufacturer and an auto parts manufacturer.

“We’re excited to welcome J & K Cabinetry to Milford,” Simon McDonald, director of Membership and Marketing for the Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce, said in a statement. “They are bringing jobs, innovation, and beautifully crafted cabinetry to our region.”
