Car Crashes Into Milford Pond, Driver Charged: PD

MILFORD, CT — A Shelton man was charged after he crashed his vehicle into a pond while driving under the influence, according to police.

Alan Casarrubias, 34, crashed his vehicle into the pond near North and Bridge streets on Sunday, police said. Officers found the vehicle's rear end sticking out of the pond and Casarrubias standing near it.

Casarrubias's blood-alcohol content was .22 and .24 on two tests, according to police. He was charged with DUI and bail was set at $500.
