Carjacking In Progress Call Leads To An Arrest: Milford Police
A neighbor tried to intervene and was punched in the face twice by the accused, police said.
MILFORD, CT — A Villanova, PA woman, Selin Sakarcan, 26, is facing larceny, assault and carjacking charges, Milford police said.
On June 7, Milford police responded to the area of Laurel and Stowe avenue on the report of a carjacking in progress, police said. Investigation led to the arrest of Sakarcan who is accused of approaching a vehicle in a driveway and yelling at the driver to get out of the vehicle, police said.
The driver ran into the garage and shut the door, Sakarcan then got inside the vehicle and attempted to drive away, police said. A neighbor arrived and told Sakarcan to exit the vehicle, Sakarcan punched the neighbor in the face twice and fled on foot, police said.

She is charged with carjacking, criminal attempt of second-degree larceny, robbery, third-degree assault, and breach of peace. She was given a $5,000 bond.
