Charles Island Music Festival Postponed Indefinitely
The festival was postponed due to issues obtaining insurance, festival committee members said.
MILFORD, CT — The Charles Island Music Festival has been postponed indefinitely due to issues with insurance coverage, the festival committee said on Facebook. No future date has been announced.
The sixth annual event was scheduled for Saturday, July 23.
Merchandise sales and donations will continue in order to benefit the Yale New Haven Children's NNICU Family Assistance Fund.

More than 600 boats met off the Milford shoreline for the 2021 event, according to fire officials. A boat sank during last year's festival, and another crashed and left eight people injured. There was also a boat grill fire and numerous medical emergencies.
