Chase Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested
Police arrest a West Haven man in connection with the July 14 robbery.

A 29-year-old West Haven man was arrested today in connection with the July 14 robbery of Chase Bank in Milford.
Police said an investigation led them to Jeffrey Porcu of 125 Coleman St. as the person responsible for the robbery. He was apprehended in North Haven by the U.S Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force, which is comprised of police officers from Hamden, New Haven and Milford.
Porcu was transported to the for processing and charged with first-degree robbery and second-degree larceny. He is currently being held on a $250,000 bond.

The at about 8:30 a.m. on July 14 when a suspect, who police identified as Porcu, entered the Chase Bank branch at 1651 Boston Post Road and demanded money. He reportedly lifted his shirt to reveal the handle of a gun, police said, and made off with an undetermined amount of cash.
