City Of Milford, Schools, Mall Make Schedule Changes Due To Major Winter Storm

The schedule changes were announced after a storm dumped heavy snow on the region.

MILFORD, CT — Milford Mayor Rich Smith announced that due to the weather, all City buildings will be closed to the public Monday.

His statement read, "Our crews will continue to work diligently throughout the night and into the morning to clear the snow from all city roads and properties. I do expect all City buildings to reopen to the public on Tuesday, January 27th as regularly scheduled."

Milford Public Schools were closed on Monday. All adult education classes were also canceled.

The Connecticut Post Mall announced that the storm will affect its hours Monday. The mall will operate on a delayed schedule, opening at noon.

"Please note that cinema, department store, fitness center and restaurants hours may vary. We recommend checking directly with your destination for their most up-to-date hours," the mall wrote on Facebook.

Well over a foot of snow has fallen in several towns across the state as a major winter storm rolled through the region.
