Another Remarkable Summer with Milford Education Foundation’s Paint Your Path!

For 3 years now, the Milford Education Foundation has sponsored a unique and fun way to engage middle and high schoolers with learning and social connections by igniting their creativity and imagination.

It’s called Paint Your Path, and the concept is quite simple. We engage a couple of exceptionally talented artists through The Milford Arts Council (Miguel Estrada and Kiko Hernandez). We get a bunch of blank skateboards. Then we get a bunch of kids through the Boys and Girls Club of Milford, and we get them to create some fabulous designs. And what they come up with is testimony to the imagination, creativity, and sense of detail innate in all of these young people. By the way, this is not an art class, per se, and it is open to kids with a vast array of interests.

Paint Your Path was made possible by a grant through the Devon Rotary. Throughout the month of September, the boards will be on display at Milford Pediatrics, 50 Commerce Park. This is a great way for parents of young children to see this work and determine interest for next year’s program.
