Connecticut: Tied For 17th Most Disliked State In America, New Poll Says
The poll finds Democrats and seniors more likely to view Connecticut favorably than Republicans and younger people.

A new survey by YouGov ranks Connecticut as tied for the 33rd most liked state in the nation.
Curious as to which state is the most hated state in America? Well it’s New Jersey by a mile. In fact, “New Jersey is the only state in the country which people tend to have a negative opinion of,” YouGov said in its summary.
According to YouGov’s findings, 40 percent of Americans have a negative opinion of New Jersey, the highest of any of the 50 states.

After New Jersey, Alabama is No. 2, Illinois, No. 3, Mississippi No. 4, and Indiana No. 5.
The most loved states are Hawaii, No. 1,followed by Montana, Wyoming, Alaska, Maine and Washington.

States that surround Connecticut were all over the place in the rankings. New York was voted No. 36 most liked, Massachusetts, No. 42, and Rhode Island No. 22.
According to the survey of residents from all across the country, Connecticut is viewed very favorably by 14 percent and somewhat favorably by 30 percent.
Connecticut is viewed somewhat unfavorably by 12 percent and very unfavorably by 7 percent of respondents.
According to a breakdown by age, the younger you are the least likely you are to have a very favorable view of Connecticut. According to the poll, 43 percent of 18-29 year olds view the state favorably but 51 percent of people 65 and older give CT high marks.
However of the 18-29 year olds surveyed only 8 percent view Connecticut very favorably but people 65 and older view CT very favorably by 18 percent.
Democrats also view Connecticut more favorably than Republicans by a score of 58 percent to 39 percent. In fact, 23 percent of Democrats view Connecticut very favorably while just 9 percent of Republicans felt the same.
