Coronavirus And CT: Here's Everything You Need To Know

There has been a lot of recent news concerning Connecticut and the coronavirus and here is a recap of everything you need to know.

CONNECTICUT — Up until Friday night all was relatively quiet in Connecticut concerning the coronavirus. Local and state health officials were preparing for the inevitable spread of the virus into our state but through Friday afternoon Connecticut had not reported any direct connections to the virus.

That changed when a hospital employee, who works at Danbury and Norwalk hospitals, tested positive for the Coronavirus. This hospital employee lives in New York State, not Connecticut, state health officials said. And then on Saturday, state officials said a doctor who lives in New Rochelle, New York, and who works at Bridgeport Hospital, also tested positive for COVID-19.

State health officials stress that no Connecticut resident has tested positive for the virus and that both hospital employees reside in New York and are both in self-quarantine there. Connecticut still has no reported COVID-19 cases.
