Coronavirus Milford: Schools Send Letter On Cancellations, Plans

The measures outlined range from deep cleaning of schools and buses to cancellations of field trips, events, and parent-teacher conferences.

MILFORD, CT — Schools superintendent Anna M. Cutaia sent a letter to families about how the district is addressing coronavirus with decisions that were "not made lightly."

"Please know that these decisions were not made lightly. We realize these difficult decisions have an impact on students, staff, parents and community members in many ways. We chose to err on the side of extreme caution to best protect the well-being of students and staff," Cutaia wrote.

The measures outlined range from deep cleaning of schools and buses, the cancellation of all field trips and in and out-of-district travel, student-parent conferences, and kindergarten registration, to what will happen should schools have to close, something Cutaia said is not happening now, but could.
