CT Next Hot Spot For Coronavirus: White House Official

Connecticut health officials released new town-by-town coronavirus cases, which are nearing 4,000. A total of 112 have died.

CONNECTICUT — Deborah Birx, the White House coronavirus virus task force coordinator, said at a news conference Thursday evening that Connecticut is expected to be one of the next hot spots for the new coronavirus.

New York and New Jersey are already considered hot spots, as 35 percent of coronavirus tests have come back positive, according to Bloomberg News.

"Michigan, Connecticut, Indiana, Georgia, Illinois -- that should tell you where the next hot spots are coming -- are at 15% (for positive tests)," Birx said, according to Bloomberg. "And then Colorado, D.C., Rhode Island and Massachusetts are at 13%."
