CT’s Largest Tai Chi School Expands to Offer Classes in Westport

Aiping Tai Chi Center's Grand Opening celebration is on Wednesday, November 6, 2019, 10 am-noon at 49 Richmondville Avenue in Westport.

Aiping Tai Chi Center, southern Connecticut’s largest Tai Chi school based in Orange, announces the Grand Opening of its second instruction location in Westport. Adult tai chi and qigong classes will be offered beginning on Friday, November 8th at DWKing Talent / Shi Studio located at 49 Richmondville Avenue in Westport.

Aiping Tai Chi Center, founded in 1996 by Grandmaster Aiping Cheng, one of the world's foremost authorities in Chinese martial arts, is devoted to the study of authentic tai chi for students at all levels. Tai chi’s proven health benefits include increased strength and improved balance, cardiovascular function, brain function and it can alleviate arthritis.

According to Shirley Chock, Aiping Tai Chi Center co-director and instructor, “We’re thrilled to now offer classes in Fairfield County so more people can discover the physical and mental benefits of practicing tai chi and qigong.”
