Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued For Snow, Wind Saturday: What You Need To Know
The National Weather Service released an updated timeline on when snow squalls and strong wind gusts will move across Connecticut Saturday.
CONNECTICUT — Early Friday morning we were dealing with thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong wind gusts. Fast-forward a day later, and we're still dealing with strong wind gusts, but now we're also talking about snow squalls.
Snow squalls, which are a brief period of heavy snow that can cause temporary white-out conditions, are forecast for Connecticut early Saturday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
Like thunderstorms, not everyone will see snow squalls, but it's believed to be widespread enough that the weather service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for the entire state.

The weather service said up to an inch of snow could accumulate, and while that doesn't sound overly impressive, the snow would add up in a brief amount of time.
The weather service in a video shows the snow bands moving quickly across the state between noon-6 p.m. Saturday.
