CONNECTICUT — The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for all of Connecticut, as heavy rain on Thursday transitions to ice and a little snow on Friday.

The icy precipitation may lead to hazardous driving conditions at times on Friday, the weather service cautions. Fog is also a concern.

An inch or two of rain will fall on Thursday, early Friday before sleet will mix in statewide, and northern areas of the state could see up to an inch of snow before the precipitation tapers off Friday night. The major concern with this storm is the ice, and not snow.
