Demolition Of House, Garage Sought By City Of Milford
Plans have been shared with the city's land-use agencies.

MILFORD, CT — The city of Milford is seeking approval from the Inland Wetlands Agency to demolish a house and garage at 810 West River Street to create a parking area at the Solomon Property, according to meeting minutes from this month.
The proposed parking lot would be within 150 feet of a wetland area. The new parking area will run perpendicular to West River Street and allow for safer parking, handicapped parking and access to the trails at the property, officials said.
A wooden guard rail and or boulders would be used around the parking area in an effort to protect against ATVs using the land. City officials say the parcel is 99 acres and the only access is via this site and they believe it could be a destination area for folks who want to hike.
