Details On 'Pretty Ugly' Weather Today In CT
And the weather forecast for Father's Day weekend in CT doesn't look great. Here are the updated details on the weekend forecast.

CONNECTICUT — Today will be a rainy and dreary day in Connecticut as rain moves in early this morning and will continue to fall moderately until the early afternoon. There is a chance for an isolated thunderstorm too.
We'll also notice very cool temperatures today with high temps in the 50s. The good news is that the rain will taper off by mid-afternoon but it will remain cold all day. If you have outdoor weekend plans, hopefully it is on Saturday, which will be sunny with temps near 80 degrees.
On Father's Day there will be a chance of rain showers throughout the day with mostly cloudy skies.

More On Today's Rain Via NWS:
"The rain will taper off early this evening and may even end briefly across the western portions of the tri state. However, a slight chance of showers will remain tonight into early Friday as another low passes well to the north through southeastern Canada. High pressure will build into the region Friday morning into the afternoon with clear conditions. ... Friday`s temperatures will rebound, but still remain below seasonal normals. Highs are expected to reach the lower to mid 70s."

WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons says, "Have your rain gear and a warm outfit for the day today. I’m expecting periods of rain through at least early afternoon and chilly temperatures with mostly 50s. The wind will pick up for the afternoon too. A scattered shower tomorrow but mostly dry weather is expected for Friday. High temperatures tomorrow near 70. Saturday looks like the best day of the weekend with sunshine and near 80."
Weird forecast for this time of June! Secondary low will fly out to sea and steal a lot of the rainfall. I thought it was going to be dreadful today...and it will be pretty ugly, but less awful this afternoon. Temps? Way too cool, only 55-60. #NBCCT pic.twitter.com/mowVN193Xx
