Developer Takes City Of Milford To Court Over Planning Denial: Report

A developer seeking to build a 20-residential-unit building has taken the city to court after the plan was denied.

MILFORD, CT — A real estate developer is appealing a Planning and Zoning Board decision that denied her attempt to renovate a Shell Avenue apartment building, The Connecticut Post reported.

The appeal was filed at Milford Superior Court on behalf of developer Margaret Streicker, a former Republican congressional candidate.

Streicker claims that the city rejected the proposal without giving a reason.

Neighbors opposed the plans for a 20-unit residential building at 25 Shell Ave. The applicant had sought to expand a former 9-unit building. Plans called for 16 first-floor parking spaces with three floors of apartments above ground level and roof decks.
