Family-Friendly Guided Hiking Event In Milford Announced
Limited spots are available to join Jeremy Grant in the guided, family-friendly hiking event exploring wildlife.
MILFORD, CT – During Connecticut Trails Day, join Milford’s Open Space Manager Jeremy Grant on a guided educational walk to explore the Solomon Woods, 810 W. River St.
The family-friendly nature-guided hike along the blue trail in the Solomon Woods will be on Saturday, June 3, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
The two-mile hike will explore a variety of wildlife and inspect evidence of the glaciers that once covered Milford roughly 17,000 years ago.

Hikers will also pass vital vernal pools the resident amphibians use to breed each spring.
Two new bridges are along the trail, but small stream crossings still require rock hopping. Sturdy shoes or sneakers are recommended.

Leashed dogs are welcome to attend the hike.
Before the hike starts, those who participate will meet in the parking lot and will start the hike together.
