Firefighters Extinguish Dumpster Blaze By Milford Restaurant

Firefighters responded to the call Wednesday afternoon when a large dumpster fire broke out near to a Milford establishment.

MILFORD, CT — Firefighters extinguished a large dumpster fire by a restaurant in Milford on Wednesday afternoon, fire officials said in a Facebook post.

The Milford Emergency Center received phone calls at 1:46 p.m. reporting a large dumpster fire located on the side of the Fire Engine Pizza Company at 204 Melba St.

Crews quickly knocked down the blaze using one of the ladder companies' master streams.

No one was injured but the building sustained minor smoke and water damage.

The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation
