Foran High Choir Leads Petition Effort to Keep Their Teacher
In two days nearly 1,200 signatures have been amassed.

MILFORD, CT — The Foran High Choir has secured more than 1,100 signatures to present to the Board of Education in an effort to keep their music teacher Theresa Voss from being transferred.
According to the petition on Change.org students say, "Our choir, drama, and beloved music teacher, Theresa Voss, is being involuntarily transferred to teach music classes at a local elementary school. Ms. Voss made the choir and drama programs at Foran High School and had been working endlessly and putting her all into these programs for the past 12 years.
"She also runs the Gender Sexuality Alliance club along with spreading music to all of Foran by teaching a number of music classes, such as a Peer Assisted music class for Special Education students. She has done so much for this school and her students and has provided undivided support to all, which is why we feel the need to take action to prevent this from happening.

"It is unfair and unjustified to make such a move that negatively impacts Foran High School and it's students, for the sake of filling a gap at another school. It is the school board's responsibility to act in the interest of ALL students and teachers in the district, not just serve the gap created by the departure of another teacher. Please sign and share this petition to help us keep her at Foran where she belongs!" the petition concludes.
