MILFORD, CT — The Foran High School tennis courts will be named after longtime Milford educator Richard Herman. A dedication ceremony is scheduled for April 23 at 9 a.m.
Herman spent more than 30 years with Milford Public Schools as a teacher, principal and associate superintendent, according to a statement from the district. He was the first principal at Foran and oversaw parts of the design, planning and construction process.
Herman was an avid tennis player and helped ensure the high school had tennis courts; he played the sport into his 90s. He passed away in 2019.
