Former Milford Hooters Site Plans Pending
The future of the former Hooters on Boston Post Road is pending.

MILFORD, CT — Plans for the former Hooters location on the Boston Post Road are still pending, and the Key Cars Auto Group currently doesn't have development plans for the site.
The property was purchased along with the defunct abutting Howard Johnson site, which will become a Genesis dealership. The Howard Johnson site will be the home of a 24,600 square foot showroom and car repair facility. The dealership will be owned by the Key Automotive Group, which also owns Key Hyundai of Milford.
Demolition has begun at the Howard Johnson site, according to the Milford Mirror.

Genesis is the luxury vehicle division for Hyundai. Genesis plans to stop making new combustion cars by 2025 and move entirely to zero-emission vehicles by 2030, according to Autoweek.
Hooters closed the Milford restaurant in the summer of 2020.
