Francis "Fritz" DeLash of Woodbridge, formerly of Milford, passes unexpectedly.

Francis Mark “Fritz” DeLash, age 78, of Woodbridge, passed away suddenly at his home on February 22, 2026. Born on November 18, 1947, in Hazleton, PA, he was the son of the late Francis E. and Mary (Derendal) DeLash.

Fritz was an electrical engineer specializing in CAD and geometric tolerances. For over 10 years, he owned and operated the Brite Wash Laundromat on Madison Avenue in Bridgeport. He was an avid gardener and woodworker who spent countless hours assisting his children with home renovation projects. His daughter, Estrella, fondly remembers their time spent rebuilding her chicken coop together.

Fritz is survived by his devoted children, Estrella DeLash of Hamden and Mark DeLash of Woodbridge; Mark’s mother, Leslie DeLash of Derby; and many dear friends. He was predeceased by his son, Scott DeLash.

Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, March 8, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the GREGORY DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
