Heart Breaking to see Kathleen Kennedy speaking out of both sides of her mouth

Milford Patch reports that Representative Kathleen Kennedy opposes Safe Injection Site legislation in CT. She says she cares about drug prevention, but doesn't support the prevention of overdose. That makes sense if you don't think about it. Yes, we need to put more resources into preventing vulnerable children from developing drug addictions, of course. But when those vulnerable children do fall prey to the insidious disease of addiction, we should not then abandon them. We must make every effort to help them into recovery. Safe injection sites are proven to do this. People go to them because they don't want to die from their addiction but they don't know how to stop using. A safe injection site can be the first step towards recovery. So Kathleen, don't abandon our children when they become addicted. Please help them and save lives instead. It's not too much to ask.
