Here Is Milford's Rank Among Safest Cities In CT
Do you believe the authors got it correct as it pertains to Milford's rank among the safest cities to live in CT?

MILFORD, CT — A new report by SafeHome.org compiles what it says are the top 25 safest cities in Connecticut. In order to qualify a city has to have a population of at least 36,000 residents.
According to the authors of the report, Milford was listed the No. 19 safest city in Connecticut. Greenwich was rated the No. 1 safest city in all of America.
In the report the authors noted that "Most of the cities in Connecticut have been seeing a decline in violent and property crimes, or no change at all to their already low crime rates. Four of Connecticut’s cities are in the top 100 safest cities in the nation, with another 12 in the top 500 safest cities."

SafeHome.org used 2018 FBI data from 13,366 law enforcement agencies of cities with populations of 50,000 or more. The following six categories of FBI data were analyzed.

Milford's safety score was 80.56. Milford has a population of 53,499 and 37 violent crimes were reported in 2018 and 1,348 property crimes. Violent crimes were up 5 percent while property crimes declined by 3 percent. Greenwich's safety score was 92.71.
