Joan De Aquino, 91, of Orange, Connecticut, passed away on February 21, 2026. Born on September 11, 1934, in San Felice, Italy, she was the beloved wife of Raymond De Aquino, who passed away in 2022.

Joan was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Her great strength was legendary, matched only by the size of her heart and her generous nature. Always a champion of the underdog, she liked a good argument and won most…with a smile.

Joan is survived by her children, Joan Lachowitz and Eleanor Bravman, and son-in-law Richard Edward Bravman. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Erica Lachowitz and Richard Alexander Bravman (and his wife Keri), and by her great-grandchildren Charlie Ray Bravman, Cole Norman Bravman, and Elise Lachowitz. Joan was predeceased by her son-in-law Richard Lachowitz.

Private remembrance gatherings were held by Joan’s immediate family.
