Jonathan Law Students Named National Merit Commended Students

More than 1.6 million students sat for the exam last year, with only 2% of test-takers receiving Commended Student status.

From Milford Schools: Fran Thompson, principal of Jonathan Law High School, is pleased to announce juniors Joseph Fletcher and Monica Pydipati have been named Commended Students in the 2019 National Merit Scholarship Program. The students were presented with letters of commendation and certificates for their excellent performance on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT), administered last year through The College Board.

More than 1.6 million students sat for the exam last year, with only 2% of test-takers receiving Commended Student status.

The National Merit Scholarship Corporation has partnered with The College Board for decades through the administration of the PSAT. Corporations across the country and around the world use the PSAT/NMSQT as a qualifying factor in awarding millions of dollars’ worth of college scholarships to high-performing students each year.
