JWC of Milford Honors Milford Respect Ambassadors
29 Respect Ambassadors from Milford Public Schools and St. Mary School were honored in a ceremony on May 15, 2024

MILFORD - The Junior Woman's Club of Milford had the honor of presenting the Respect Ambassador award to 29 students from Milford Public Schools and St. Mary's School on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at Milford City Hall.
When the classroom Respect Star process begins, students in each classroom are directed to choose one peer in their class who demonstrates the following:
- Has self-respect
- Cares for the environment and living things
- Is polite, courteous and fair
- Respects the dignity and worth of others
- Fulfills obligations and commitments
- Shows respect for the value of learning
- Tells the truth and acts with integrity
- Knows the difference between right and wrong
- Shows respect for others' property
- Respects the opinions and feelings of others
There are over 200 Respect Stars representing classrooms across the Milford elementary and middle schools and St. Mary School. From there, each elementary school selected two Respect Ambassadors and each middle school selected three Respect Ambassadors to represent his or her school.

The Junior Woman's Club of Milford is a 501c3 non-profit organization founded on the principles of promoting education, public health, philanthropy and service to the Milford community. Our programs include the Citywide Spelling Bee, Community Excellence Awards, Adopt-A-Spot, the Respect Campaign and much more. Our biggest fundraiser of the year is our Annual Touch-A-Truck held at Eisenhower Park in October.
