LETTER: Why Is Republican Dan German Running For 2 Positions?

Next Tuesday is election day and the voters of Milford have the opportunity to cast their votes for local offices. Some voters may be confused to discover that Republican Mayoral candidate Dan German is also Republican Aldermanic candidate in the city’s 4th district.

Of course, Mr. German knows very well that he cannot, legally, hold both offices and yet he is asking the voters to cast their votes for him for two separate offices. This decision by Mr. German is at once offensive and may I say, dishonest. If you cannot serve in two offices why would you put your name on the ballot for two offices?

You are playing the voters to be fools. The first qualities of a good leader are honesty and decisiveness. Mr. German appears to have failed on both.

I hope the voters of Milford send a clear message to Mr. German on election day; go home and decide what you want to do.
