Man Arrested For $11k Milford Burglary: PD

MILFORD, CT — A Bridgeport man was arrested and charged with stealing more than $11,000 in cash from the Citgo gas station on Broad Street, according to police.

The burglary occurred Nov. 24. Police found the front door had been pried open and that a safe was stolen.

Carlos Ortiz, 30, was arrested Wednesday and charged with third-degree burglary, second-degree larceny, possession of burglar tools, conspiracy to commit second-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary. He appeared in court Wednesday.
