Man Assaults 'Unwanted' Male With Baseball Bat: Milford Police

A second person is also charged with assault, police said.

MILFORD, CT — A Milford man, Anthony Checca, 57, of East Broadway, is accused of assaulting an "unwanted" male with a baseball bat when the man refused to leave the property, Milford Police said.

At 9 p.m. on Jan. 15, police responded to an East Broadway home on a report of an unwanted man, police said. Investigation led to the arrests of Checca and Katherine Braccio, 50, of Sunnyside Court, police said.

"Checca is accused of assaulting the unwanted male with a baseball bat when the male refused to leave the property," police said in a news release. "Braccio is accused of assaulting Checca with her hands after he assaulted the unwanted male."

Checca is charged with second-degree assault, breach of peace and reckless endangerment. Braccio is charged with third-degree assault and breach of peace.

Checca was released after posting $5,000 bond.
