Officers also saw a handgun on the passenger seat as they were removing Rosado-Nazario from the vehicle.

Police found the rifle and handgun were BB guns with no markings, which would make them appear as replica or facsimile firearms. They also found drugs and a machete knife.

Rosado-Nazario was taken into custody and charged with three counts of weapons in a motor vehicle, possession of narcotics, and motor vehicle charges.

He posted a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Milford Superior Court on Feb. 14.
