The suspect then told the security officer and employee that he was going to shoot them, and they saw him reach toward his waistband as if he had a gun concealed in his pants, police said.
The man was found in possession of three stolen items from American Eagle worth $239.80, police said. Police did not find any gun.
Police identified the suspect as Jamar Jarrett, 36, of Bridgeport. He was charged with two counts of first-degree robbery, sixth-degree larceny, threatening, second-degree breach of peace, and interfering with an officer.
