Man Choked Victim, Given $20K Bond: Milford Police

"During the argument, he choked the victim to the point where they could not breathe," police said.

MILFORD, CT — Milford police said they responded to a Motel 6 on Schoolhouse Road on Sunday for a "domestic violence incident."

The victim stated that they got into an argument with the accused, who is a Bridgeport resident, police said.

"During the argument, he choked the victim to the point where they could not breathe," police said in a news release. (The accused) also ripped a braid out of their hair, dragged them by their hair around the room and threatened them."

The accused was located down the street from the motel and charged with third-degree assault, second-degree strangulation and second-degree threatening. He was initially given a $20,000 bond.
