Man Fired Gun At Car In Milford: Police

Police say the incident occurred on Sunday and two people have been arrested.

MILFORD, CT — Two men have been arrested and one suspect is accused of firing a gun at a car in Milford on Sunday, Milford police said. A New Haven and an East Haven man were charged in the incident, police said.

Police said on Sunday officers were notified by State Police stating that they were involved in a motor vehicle pursuit and had the vehicle stopped in New Haven. State Police determined that the vehicle occupants were involved in an altercation where a firearm was displayed and possibly discharged and that the events had started in Milford, police said.

Detectives responded to New Haven and it was determined that Ronald Dumas, 27, of Main Street in East Haven and Clayton Bostic Jr., 27, of Whalley Avenue in New Haven had an altercation with two males in the area of Daniel Street and High Street earlier that evening, police said.

Dumas and Bostic followed the men in their vehicle from High Street to the area of Boston Post Road and Cherry Street at which point Bostic then discharged a firearm at the male’s vehicle, police said. The victims were able to provide CSP information on the offender’s vehicle, which led to their arrest in New Haven and the seizure of two firearms from the suspects vehicle, police said.

Both Dumas and Bostic posted $25,000 bond to appear in Milford Court on October 10, 2017.
