Man Flees Milford Accident Scene, Witnesses Follow Him Until He's Arrested: Police

Milford police say witnesses to the accident followed the suspect to another town where he was arrested.

MILFORD, CT — This wasn't you normal hit-and-run accident report.

Milford police said on August 9 they responded to a motor vehicle accident in the area of Bridgeport Avenue and Avery Avenue.

It's alleged that Aurelio Gracia, 72, of Farmill Street in Shelton, caused the accident and then left the scene, police said.

Investigation led to the arrest of Gracia, who is accused of causing a motor vehicle accident and then leaving the scene, police said.

But what's unique here is, that several people who witnessed the accident and saw Gracia leave the scene followed him to a Stratford business and shortly after he was arrested by Milford police, police said.

He is charged with evading responsibility and following too closely.

He was given a $500 bond.
