Man Found Hiding in Milford Yard After DUI Accident: Police

Milford police say the man was allegedly under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.

MILFORD, CT - An Ansonia man allegedly involved in a motor vehicle accident after being under the influence of alcohol was found hiding in a nearby yard, police said Monday.

On April 23, officers responded to a motor vehicle accident in the area of Rock Street and Seabreeze Avenue for a vehicle crash into a utility pole, police said.

Investigation led to the arrest of Paul Robles, 24, of Crescent Street who was found hiding in a nearby yard, police said.

Robles is accused of driving his vehicle under the influence and allegedly refused to provide a breath sample when given the chance. He was issued a $500 bond and is due to appear in Superior Court, Milford on May 19.

His charges include: DUI, evading responsibility, no insurance, failure to drive right, misuse of registration place, and operating a vehicle without a license.
