Man Fraudulently Tried To Withdraw Money From Bank: Milford Police

A bank employee recognized the man from previous incidents at the bank where he attempted to make fraudulent withdrawals, police said.

MILFORD, CT — A man is accused of trying to fraudulently withdraw funds from a local bank, police said.

On October 15, 2022, M & T Bank at 855 Bridgeport Avenue reported that a man had attempted to withdraw funds from an account at the bank, police said.

The man provided identification and information that was later determined to be fake, police said. A bank employee recognized the man from previous incidents at the bank where he attempted to make fraudulent withdrawals, police said. The male was positively identified as Daniel Cobb, 44, police said.

On Feb. 16 Cobb was taken into custody for an arrest warrant, police said.

Cobb was charged with:
  • Criminal Impersonation (3 Counts)
  • Identity Theft 3rd Degree (3 Counts)
  • Criminal Attempt to Commit Larceny 3rd Degree
Cobb was held on a $20,000 court set bond and appeared in Milford Court on February 16, 2023.
